Sainsbury's in Weedon Road, Northampton is to support Always A Chance charity as its charity partner for the year.

Widnes Vikings has begun it's 2013 Charity of the Year Partnership. The 2012 season Charity partner was The Mark Gorry Foundation and in particular its "Love Your Balls" initiative aimed at raising awareness of Testicular Cancer and its early treatment.

Iceland selects Walking with the Wounded for charity tie-up.

Following a decision by The FA Board, 2013 will see some major changes to The FA's Charity Programme. Instead of working to support four partners, FA staff will be asked to help to chose one partner for The FA for 2013, its 150th anniversary year.

The BGL Group raised the astounding figure for charity partner Marie Curie Cancer Care since the summer of 2010. The two-year partnership ended in June 2012. It was orignally set-up to raise £250,000 through corporate donations etc.

Stratford Town Walk and Bancroft Cruisers have teamed up to organise a special evening of entertainment to raise funds for the Mayor's Charities. A Bristol based charity has been given £1 million from the Big Lottery Fund to help young people take control of their finances. The grant has been awarded to the youth homelessness charity, Independent People for a project called Cashpoint.

North West Blood Bikes Lancs and Lakes has been given a £9,600 grant from the Big Lottery Fund's Awards for All programme, the group can buy a new Honda Deauville motorcycle that will help volunteer riders serve hospitals in Preston, Chorley, Ormskirk and Southport.

Lottery Funding

Six projects in the capital have received funding from the Big Lottery Fund's Reaching Communities programme, which is designed to help those most in need and build stronger communities.

A share of over £1.3 million has been awarded to Westcountry groups striving to make their community a better place.

A scheme to help young, vulnerable people find work is one of nine West Midland projects to receive a share of £2.6m from the Big Lottery Fund.

BATTERED women and young families are among nine community groups set to benefit from a £2.6million Lottery handout in the Midlands.

A project in East Lancashire has received just under half a million pounds to help deal with the rise in the number of women seeking help for domestic violence.

THE Compassionate Friends Northern Ireland have announced a funding boost of £8480 from the Big Lottery Fund's Awards For All Programme.

Guild Care will receive £22540 of National Lottery funding to install an outdoor gym at its Healthy Living Centre at Methold House, which supports more than 1000 older people each year. The money is Olympic legacy funding from Sport England

The Creetown Initiative has landed more than £250000 in the last seven months – mainly from the Big Lottery Fund and different charity groups. And the latest award, from the Big Lottery, will create two new jobs.
The All Saints Community Centre in Tuckingmill has been awarded nearly £250000 from the Big Lottery Reaching Communities Fund. ?
