Airbus' Direct Entry Graduates are aiming to raise the ambitious target of £20,000 to raise money for CLIC Sargent, Airbus' charity partner of the year. CLIC Sargent is the UK's leading cancer charity for children and young people, and provides clinical, practical and emotional support.

The Football club launched the new Charity Partnership Scheme last year, to help promote good causes. The other chosen charities for this season are Canine Partners, Crossroads Care and Colchester Gateway Clubs.

Midfielder, Kemal Izzet, has been chosen as the player charity ambassador for the season.


Wanderers are proud to launch a series of initiatives, which will benefit the Football League's official charity partner - the Help The Hospices campaign - over the course of the 2011/12 season.

Following the success of fundraising activities in previous years with Scannappeal, Kids In Sport and Marie Curie Cancer Care, the club has pledged to support a number of hospices, helping them to raise money and improve public awareness to enable them to continue their excellent work.

The 2011 Tour de Jewson cycling marathon will launch on the 12 September in a bid to raise money for Jewson's 'together' charity partner Barnardo's. Since its launch in 2002, Jewson’s ‘together’ charity programme has raised over £2 million for some great causes including the British Heart Foundation, Great Ormond Street, Cancer Research UK and Help the Hospices. The programme encourages Jewson staff, their families, customers and suppliers to organise and participate in a range of activities to support the nominated charity through fundraising and volunteering.



Keyline Builders Merchants support The Prostate Cancer Charity as their beneficiary Charity. The partnership aims to raise awareness of prostate cancer amongst its staff and customers, and raise funds for the Charity through a combination of cause-related marketing and employee fundraising. Initially, Keyline pledged a target of £25k for 2010, having previously only ever raised £5k for charity, but through the phenomenal efforts of staff and customers they have raised in excess of £145,000 for the Charity in the first year of the partnership.

The Prostate Cancer Charity partnership started in November 2009, initially for two years with the aim of raising awareness of prostate cancer amongst its staff and customers, and raise funds for the Charity through a combination of cause-related marketing and employee fundraising.

John Deane, Chief Executive of Royal London’s intermediary division, is cycling 949km through France to raise money for 2 Charities.

Deane will be part of a group of senior executives from the financial services industry, known as the Money Spinners http://www.moneyspinners.org.uk/  Alzheimer’s Research UK, Royal London's national charity partner, and Alzheimer’s Society, the nominated charity of the Moneyspinners, will both benefit from the marathon cycle ride.

A PARALYMPIC fencing star has become an ambassador for Warrington's chosen charity of the year. Adrian Derbyshire, Britain's wheelchair fencing champion is now a patron for Birtchwood-based Brainwave.


Children in Need is looking to brands to provide more marketing support ahead of this year’s November telethon as it unveils a raft of new corporate partners. Peugeot will be among a group of brands joining existing partners, such as Asda, Boots, Welcome Break and Greggs. The car maker will donate a car and a trip to the Le Mans 24-hour motor race to be auctioned by the charity.

Lego, Debenhams, Domino’s Pizza, Cineworld and Bosch are also working with the charity for the first time in 2011. Lego will create a building-block model of Children in Need mascot Pudsey the bear, while department store Debenhams will be involved in a joint fashion initiative.

Etape Caledonia announced recently that Marie Curie Cancer Care as its new charity partner as registrations opened for the hugely successful closed road sportive which will take place on May 13, 2012. The partnership will see Marie Curie join forces with this prestigious event for the next 3 years. Funds raised by participants will help provide free nursing care and support for people with terminal cancer and other illnesses in their own homes or in one of the charity's hospices.

One of the most sought-after cars in Britain is to be the star Charity auction prize at this year’s prestigious London Press Club Ball.

More than 400 of Britain’s leading journalists, media executives and VIP guests will be able to bid for a year’s driving of the award-winning new Range Rover Evoque .

Funds raised will be used to support the Journalists’ Charity which was set up nearly 150 years ago to help journalists and their families who fall on hard times – in print and now on air and online.

The annual Merseyside Young Professionals' Charity Ball is of the highlights of the Young Professionals' calendar, the Ball took place at the Crowne Plaza on Friday 14th October 2011.

This year’s chosen charity is the Kayla Jones Trust and the theme is ‘Made in Liverpool’ celebrating the city, its people and culture. The event will be sponsored by Investec Wealth & Investment.

The MYP Charity Ball is in aid of the Kayla Jones Trust, a campaign designed to raise awareness and to educate people about regressive autism. Kayla is a four year old local girl who suffers from severe regressive autism. There is a wide range of treatments available such as the Applied Behaviour Analysis treatment; however none are publically funded and can be extremely costly.

Sightsavers has been selected as the charity partner in the Financial Times lucrative seasonal appeal.

The international development charity was selected in a global staff vote and is the second international charity selected by FT staff in a row following last year’s partnership with Action Against Hunger. Over the past 5 years the newspaper has raised more than £6m for its featured charities. The 2011-2012 appeal could prove yet more lucrative for Sightsavers as Standard Chartered has pledged to match all donations made during the appeal.

The fundraising and awareness-raising campaign is due to kick off on 30 November with a photography auction at the Getty Gallery in London. Sightsavers projects and issues will also be highlighted editorially in the newspaper.

Gladstone Brookes is proud to announce its new role as a charity partner with the Warrington Wolves Charity Foundation.

The Warrington Wolves Foundation is a registered charity that is affiliated to the Warrington Wolves Rugby League Football Club. The Foundation is a registered charity working within the local community of Warrington and through the umbrella of sport they work in four key areas: health, education, young people and social welfare.
