Whitehead Monckton, one of Kent's largest firms of lawyers and investment managers, has named chYps children's hospice as its 'Charity of the Year' for 2012

Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) today (Tuesday 14 February, 2012) announced the airport’s 12 chosen charities (see logos at end of release) for the 2012 Coin Collection.  Under the scheme passengers are encouraged to donate and loose sterling, foreign coins or notes. Since it started over a decade ago the initiative has raised thousands of pounds for charities in the region.
The charities are: Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Saint Michael’s Hospice, Caring for Life, Candlighters, The Forgotten Heroes, Yeadon Charities Association, Friends of Highbury School Development Fund, One in a Million, The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust, Martin House Children’s Hospice, NSPCC (Yorkshire), The Royal British Legion and the Poppy Appeal (South and West Yorkshire).

Action on Hearing Loss is the chosen charity of the Music Producers Guild (MPG) Awards for the fourth year in a row.

MEMBERS of the Plympton Gardeners' Association raised over £500 for their charity of the year Bowel Cancer West.
