The BIG Lottery Fund (BIG) announced today 10 successful areas in England now on their way to receiving a share of £100m to support people with multiple problems like homelessness, mental ill health, addiction and reoffending.

In 2011, the Big Lottery Fund (BIG) ran a pilot scheme with the Manchester Evening News where they offered small grants funding that was publicised by the paper and decided by public vote. They also contributed funding for small grants to the London Evening Standard through its Dispossessed Fund in 2012.
BIG would like to build on the successes of these two schemes by again offering funding across England.

Dave Fishwick, minibus millionaire and Bank of Dave star, is attempting to tackle youth unemployment by re-inventing the job centre as part of a Channel 4 series that could see £2 million of lottery money invested in the scheme.
