The banking group Santander has opened applications for its 2013 charity of the year partner, which it hopes will net the chosen charity at least £750,000.

The Northern Rock Foundation is offering charities in Cumbria and north-east England grants of up to £50000 to develop ideas for new income streams and services.

Lincombe Manor Country Club, a new members club in Torquay, has adopted AGE UK Torbay as its 2012 charity partner. All money raised throughout 2012 will be donated to the charity.

Carrentals.co.uk has chosen the 4 Cancer Group for its upcoming 'Book & Donate' campaign. The car hire comparator has selected six days over the next quarter where £1 of every booking made on the site will be donated to the charity.

Teenage Cancer Trust is the official charity partner of Homebase across the UK and Republic of Ireland. The partnership will run until February 2013 and Homebase colleagues have already raised a staggering £1.5 million.

The Pound Lane, Norwich, Sainsbury's Local store's Charity Partner scheme is now in it's fourth year and looking for a charity to provide help and support to from Wednesday, June 20. Customers and staff are being asked to put forward charities which are important to them.

A group of scouts and guides have been chosen as one of Sainsbury's Colliers Wood, London Charities of the Year.

The Katie Piper Foundation was invited to speak at Arrows Group AGM on 3rd May, after the Foundation was chosen as Charity of the Year by the specialist recruitment agency.

A hotel has picked the Yorkshire Air Ambulance as its charity of the year. Raithwaite Hall Country Retreat between Sandsend and Whitby announced it will be supporting the team as its Charity of the Year for 2012.
