The Early Birth Association are pleased to have been selected as West Hove Sainsbury's charity of the year 2012-2013 and will be holding a launch day at the store on Saturday 11th August 2012.

During 2012, Dorset Tea have been supporting Diverse Abilities Plus and taking part in some of their fundraising events to help raise awareness and vital funds for the charity.  Events such as the Great Dorset Bake Sale and the Dragon Boat Race has help raise over £1,000.

The Original Factory Shop, South Molton and St John Ambulance have been partnered since the start of 2012.

The general manager of Willmott Dixon Partnerships' Rotherham branch has cycled the length of Britain to raise £1700 for Great Ormond Street Hospital and The British Heart Foundation.

Ann Barlow presented a cheque for £3,097 to the Acorn Pregnancy Counselling Centre following her mayoral year in which she chose Acorn as one of her charities.

The Mayor of the Borough of Broxtowe, Cllr Margaret Handley is inviting guests to join her at the event for line dance instruction from Lasso Lizzie as well as a Hog roast, salad and dessert.

There will also be a bar and raffle to help raise money for the Mayor’s charities, the Ryan Lee Trust and the Royal British Legion.

Big Lottery Awards

Young Care leavers in the Scottish Borders will be supported to live independent lives, thanks to an award of £347036 from the Big Lottery fund.

Several sporting projects have been given the green light through the Big Lottery 2014 Communities Fund, which aims to stimulate involvement in sport in the run-up to the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.

Oxfordshire Lowland Search and Rescue (OxSAR) accepted £9980 from The Big Lottery Fund on 23rd July to purchase twelve individual flood access kits and a ten man rescue raft.

THE Compassionate Friends Northern Ireland have announced a funding boost of £8480 from the Big Lottery Fund's Awards For All Programme.

Guild Care will receive £22540 of National Lottery funding to install an outdoor gym at its Healthy Living Centre at Methold House, which supports more than 1000 older people each year. The money is Olympic legacy funding from Sport England

The Creetown Initiative has landed more than £250000 in the last seven months – mainly from the Big Lottery Fund and different charity groups. And the latest award, from the Big Lottery, will create two new jobs.
The All Saints Community Centre in Tuckingmill has been awarded nearly £250000 from the Big Lottery Reaching Communities Fund. ?
