The Football League has announced Prostate Cancer UK as the League's official charity partner for the English Football League's 2012/2013

Splitz, which helps children affected by domestic violence, has just received £10000 from the Steven Gerrard Foundation.

Sainsbury's in Weedon Road, Northampton is to support Always A Chance charity as its charity partner for the year.

Widnes Vikings has begun it's 2013 Charity of the Year Partnership. The 2012 season Charity partner was The Mark Gorry Foundation and in particular its "Love Your Balls" initiative aimed at raising awareness of Testicular Cancer and its early treatment.

Iceland selects Walking with the Wounded for charity tie-up.

Following a decision by The FA Board, 2013 will see some major changes to The FA's Charity Programme. Instead of working to support four partners, FA staff will be asked to help to chose one partner for The FA for 2013, its 150th anniversary year.
The FA's application process to become their Official Charity until July 2014 is now open.

The BGL Group raised the astounding figure for charity partner Marie Curie Cancer Care since the summer of 2010. The two-year partnership ended in June 2012. It was orignally set-up to raise £250,000 through corporate donations etc.

The Cardinal Hume Centre is thrilled to have been selected as Sainsbury’s Pimlico Charity Partner of the Year and is looking forward to plenty of staff fundraising and in store support during 2012-13.

Bangor based firm, Creative Commercial Interiors have written a £4,125 cheque to The Cedar Foundation, following their selection of Cedar as their Charity of the Year for 2011/2012.

Cllr John Thurlow, Harwich Mayor has helped raise £800.00 for his mayoral charities, which this year are Long Meadows Mother and Toddler group, Noah’s Nursery, and the Harwich and Dovercourt Pensioners’ Association.

The Popular Bridlington Classic Pop Singers will be the attraction at the Mayor of Hornsea's Charity Concert, which is being held in Hornsea Town Hall at 7.30pm on Saturday 8th September 2012.

Stratford Town Walk and Bancroft Cruisers have teamed up to organise a special evening of entertainment to raise funds for the Mayor's Charities. All proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Mayor's Fund and South Warwickshire Heart. The Mayor and Mayoress of Stratford upon Avon, Councillor Keith and Elaine Lloyd will be present.

The Rowans Hospice, Purbrook, and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIWAA) – charities close to both the former mayor and his wife Hazel's hearts – will get £10,000 each.

Thousands of pounds has been raised at the official launch of this year's Mayor's charity appeal. Each year, the new Mayor of Caerphilly County Borough Council chooses which charities will benefit from fundraising events. This year, Cllr Gaynor Oliver has chosen chosen to support two charitable causes during her time in office – Helping Hands and Ty Hafan.

Droitwich Spa's mayor is preparing to welcome visitors to a charity night at a town restaurant. The event at Spice Fusion, St Andrews Street, will raise funds for Councillor Anne Taft's chosen charities during her year in office. Her chosen charities are Sight Concern Worcestershire and the Friends of Droitwich Spa Lido.

City South has received £1 million from the Big Lottery Fund for a debt prevention scheme.

Catmose Primary School gets £9000 from the Big Lottery Fund, the fund's popular small grants scheme.

The Isaac Hitchen project, Preston, which is an LGBT project in Lancashire has been awarded £450,000 by the Big Lottery Reaching Communities Fund.

A Bristol based charity has been given £1 million from the Big Lottery Fund to help young people take control of their finances. The grant has been awarded to the youth homelessness charity, Independent People for a project called Cashpoint.

North West Blood Bikes Lancs and Lakes has been given a £9,600 grant from the Big Lottery Fund's Awards for All programme, the group can buy a new Honda Deauville motorcycle that will help volunteer riders serve hospitals in Preston, Chorley, Ormskirk and Southport.

Community radio station Carillon Radio, in Loughborough, Leicestershire is among 53 projects sharing more than £435000 of grant funding from the Big Lottery Fund's Awards For All scheme.

Plans to create a major new wood on the outskirts of Witney have won a £50000 boost from the National Lottery. The £250000 project for 22-acre Foxburrow Wood has been awarded £49999 through the Big Lottery Fund.
